UK Sales Firm WestEnd Appoints Former AI Film Exec Toby Hill As Head Of Acquisitions & Development

UK sales outfit WestEnd Films has appointed former AI Film and Icon exec Toby Hill as Head Of Acquisitions And Development, effective immediately. Hill began his career at Icon acquiring titles for UK distribution including Drive, Paranormal Activity, Precious, A Single Man andMan On Wire. In 2012, he joined AI Film, the film-financing arm of Access Industries as Head of Global Acquisitions, building a slate including Oscar-winner I, Tonya and Sundance hit American Animals (Hill was exec producer on both), Lee Daniels The Butler and box office hit Hacksaw Ridge.

WestEnds current line-up includes Gareth Jones, the political thriller from director Agnieszka Holland, starring James Norton and Vanessa Kirby, Oscar-nominated animation The Breadwinner directed by Nora Twomey and executive produced by Angelina Jolie and Close, the action thriller starring Noomi Rapace which was picked up by Netflix. The company recently launched TV arm WeSeries, beginning with the acquisition and development of drama series Traitor from the writer of False Flag.
