Newly minted Oscar winner Sam Rockwell has joined the cast of Jojo Rabbit, Deadline has confirmed. The movie is written and to be directed Thor: Ragnaroks Taika Waititi for Fox Searchlight in his follow-up to the Marvel tentpole, and production is set to begin later this spring. Scarlett Johansson is already aboard the satirical World War II tale, about a German boy in Hitlers army who discovers that his mother (Johansson) is hiding a Jewish girl in their home. Waititi will play a version of Hitler in the pic and is also producing with Carthew Neal and Chelsea Winstanley.
