K-pop boy band JBJ held their farewell concert in Seoul on 21 to 22 April as they reach the end of their seven-month career as a group.
JBJ, composed of Noh Tae-hyun, Takada Kenta, Kwon Hyun-bin, Kim Sang-gyun, Jin Longguo and Kim Dong-han, will be disbanding on 30 April as stipulated in their contracts.
The temporary boy band were launched last October based on requests by fans. The members were contestants of the Korean survival audition TV show “Produce 101” season 2 who failed to enter the winning circle.
Despite efforts by fans to extend their contracts, negotiations failed and the members will go separate ways and have their own respective careers.
At the concerts, the members thanked fans for their support in the last seven months.
Last year we thought that Produce 101 Season 2 was the end, but it was the beginning, said Kim Sang-gyun, according to Soompi.
According to Kim Yong-guk, We are together at the beginning and at the ending. But I dont think that its a complete ending yet.
Kenta, a Japanese member, said the concert is the moment that will remain in my memory. I was a trainee a year ago, but now Ive done a concert tour, appeared on broadcast, and its all thanks to you. I dont want anyone to forget this moment. I wont forget it either.
“It was fun and I was happy. Thank you to Joyful [fan club name], who made it possible for us to do everything, said Kim Dong Han.
Noh Tae Hyun commented that like this album concept, if there is a beginning, there is an end, and there is a another beginning. I dont know shape this beginning will take, but I hope that in the future the six JBJ members and Joyful will always be happy.
I was sincerely happy, thank you so much, said Kwon Hyun Bin.
