Nyngans youth have been treated to a week of fun filled activities to celebrate national Youth Week, which runs from April 16-20.

The week hosted the ever popular group Stormco.

Coordinator Robyn Evans said, “Approximately 110 Nyngan preschool and primary aged students have come every day, and about 30 teens have come along in the afternoon”.

The joint venture between Hills Adventist College and Kellyville Second Day Adventist Church sees the team of 27 teenages from Sydney, push themselves out of their comfort zones, to perform as clowns, create craft, tell stories, act, communicate and connect with other teens and children in Nyngan.

Ms Evans said the hospitality of the community has been amazing and thanked Nyngan for welcoming them.

“Hospitality has been amazing, from people making cakes, washing Stormco shirts, dancing at the RSL, allowing us to visit the cotton farm, having the solar farm stay open late for our visit and the use of the town hall,” Ms Evans said.

“Also to the Community Hub who lent us the barbecue. The list is endless and everyone has been so welcoming.”
