Tedesco rubbishes suggestion he’s not fitting in at Roosters

"It's just me getting used to a new team I think, that's the same with any new player that comes to a new club and has new players around that he hasn't played with before, it just takes time," Tedesco said.

"The more games I'm playing, the more comfortable I'm getting and the better I'm playing so I think that'll just continue to improve.

"It's easy to say, coming to a team like the Roosters and [you] just slot straight in but it does take a bit of time.

"New players, new structures and new coaches as well. I'm getting used to it, I feel like I'm improving every week and I'll be hitting my full potential soon I hope."

Tedesco still lives in Hunter's Hill despite his switch to the Eastern Suburbs club, bunking with former Tigers teammates Luke Brooks, and Parramatta's Mitchell Moses.

He had planned on moving closer to the Roosters' club but admitted his search for a more convenient address had stalled.

More immediate in Tedesco's thoughts is his first appearance in a Roosters-Rabbitohs derby which offers the chance for a fourth win of the season and another opportunity to synchronise with his new teammates.

The 25-year-old has been working closely with Anthony Minichiello on his positional play at fullback and hopes working with the Roosters great will help take his game to the next level.

He's also been spending plenty of time with coach Trent Robinson in a bid to improve his defence at the back.

"Robbo's a very detailed coach and everyone knows that," Tedesco said.

"He's very smart and he's got a lot detail and it helps my game, especially defensively, he's worked a lot with me in defence and that's one thing I've been trying to focus on every week, getting a nice line and making our D work well from the inside.

Meanwhile, Cronk's influence is already spreading through the playing group.

"He's been in the game for how long and dominated the game, his footy smarts are awesome," Tedesco said.

"He gives me that little insight, it's the little things that some people mightn't notice. He controls our team very well and his kicking game and then he can square up and give you some time out the back as well.

"Coops is always in the ice bath after training, after the captain's run and after games just getting his body right, he's at that age now.

"I don't think he's ever had a major injury in however long he's been playing and that's a pretty good effort. Just that time he takes with his body and preparing it week to week, it's something for me and I've improved that over the years after having a lot of injuries.

"That sort of stuff is pretty good."
