Hackers 'remove Despacito from YouTube' while also targeting Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift

Despacito has been deleted from Vevos YouTube account.

Hackers have reportedly targeted Luis Fonsis track after it hit a whopping 5billion views, removing it from the channel and replacing it with an offensive image.

When searching for the video, users were confronted with an image of three men with guns, according to NME. They also wrote Free Palestine beneath the videos and have revealed their names to be Prosox and Kuroish.

While the image appears to have been removed, the video has not yet been reinstated. Its not yet clear if the hackers targeted individual accounts. According to The Verge, at least one hacker has claimed to have used a script to hack the site.

Selena Gomez, Shakira, Taylor Swift and Drake were also said to have been targeted in the alleged hack.

Reps for YouTube have been contacted for comment.
