Rookie K-pop boyband JBJ will be disbanding this month after releasing their last album.

Teaser photos of JBJ members Kim Dong Han and Kwon Hyun Bin were released for their final album New Moon that will drop on 17 April.

The album contains 16 tracks, including the songs Be Joyful and Just Be Stars and tracks from their two previous albums.

Like Wanna One, JBJs existence is temporary. The members were contestants from the survival audition TV show Produce 101 season 2.

At the urging of fans, the members, belonging to different agencies, formed JBJ comprised of Kwon Hyun-bin, Noh Tae-hyun, Takada Kenta, Kim Sang-gyun, Jin Longguo and Kim Dong-han.

They debuted with the album Fantasy last October and released another album titled True Colors last January.

Their contracts specify that they will be promoting for only seven months and the group will disband on 30 April.

Fans clamored for the extension of the groups contract but negotiations and discussions bogged down.

Last month, an official statement was released to say: Until now, the members, agencies, and staff went through honest and serious discussions for a long time regarding the expiration and extension of JBJs contracts, according to Soompi.

Many opinions were exchanged, and it was recognised that as the members have to move onto the next page, each of their dreams and futures are also important, it added.

JBJ said: We ask for your endless support and encouragement for the members that are beginning on a new start line with nervous hearts and for each of our individual activities. We will work hard so that we can promise to become more improved in the future.
