Arctic Monkeys have announced a UK tour for their Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino album and we are beyond excited.

Taking to Twitter, the band confirmed the news weve all been waiting for.

Were pleased to announce our live dates in September 2018, they tweeted.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 13th April. Support comes from @thelemontwigs – for more information head to arcticmonkeys.com.

The tour kicks off in Manchester on 6 September, and finishes in Newcastle on 27 September.

And fans understandably went into meltdown over the announcement.

Im f*cking screaming, one impressed follower replied.

While another added: I cry happy tears.

The news comes days after the When The Sun Goes Down singers revealed their first new album for five years, Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino.

No idea what that name means, but anyway…

They recoded the album in Paris and LA, as well as London, and it will be released on Friday 11 May.

This is their first new music in five – FIVE – years, following the launch of AM, in 2013
