Infinity War: Wakanda Takes Center Stage In Special Look At Ultimate Marvel Team Up

As we inch closer to the release of Avengers: Infinity War, Disney and Marvel Studios are releasing movie posters and clips to hype up the culmination of a 10-year journey from our favorite superhero characters. In the latest spot for the MCU team-up extravaganza, the latest puts the focus on that Wakanda battle that has been present in all of the Infinity War trailers.

In the video above, we see familiar snippets from the film: the hair on Peter Parkers (Tom Holland) arm standing up, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) teaming up in techno-magic battle, purple baddie Thanos (Josh Brolin) filling the slots on his Infinity Gauntlet, and Cappy America (Chris Evans) reuniting with his BFF Bucky (Sebastian Stan). But there is a heavy focus on Black Panthers Wakanda with some standout characters from the record-breaking movie making an appearance in the clip including TChalla himself Chadwick Boseman as well as Okoye (Danai Gurira), MBaku (Winston Duke), and Shuri (Letitia Wright).

With all the assets released, we still dont have any grasp on the fate of our favorite MCU superheroes in the forthcoming movie, but what we do know is that there is a huge battle in Wakanda, the super-technologically advanced nation that was introduced to us in Black Panther. In the clip, Tchalla says, “Today we dont fight for one life, we fight for all of them” which then cuts to an all-out battle between a select group of Avengers and a horde of alien-like creatures set to a Wakandan war chant.

At the end of the spot, an exchange between TChalla and Wakandas best warrior Okoye adds some levity to the uber-intense trailer:

“When you said we were going to open Wakanda to the rest of the world, this is not what I imagined,” says Okoye.

TChalla asks, “What did you imagine?”

“The Olympics…maybe even a Starbucks,” she responds.
