No-one ever said performing live was easy.
Camila Cabello managed to get plenty of people talking with her performance on Ellen this week, albeit for a number of differing reasons.
Delivering a rendition of Never Be The Same, Cabello was seen strumming away at an electric guitar for much of the performance – although some viewers weren’t convinced that she was actually playing the instrument.
Check out the performance of Never Be The Same in the above video – the guitar-playing begins at the 1:05 mark – and judge for yourself.
Those who noticed something might be up were quick to tweet their observations about this showing of Cabello’s guitar skills, including one quite harsh comparison to ‘air guitar’.

I'm trying really hard to figure out why Camila Cabello, who clearly does not play the guitar, is using one as a stage prop to wave her hand wildly in front of in some facsimile of "playing" it, for every performance of "Never Be the Same" I've seen lately.

That last tweet really irked Cabello’s fans, who responded in kind – with many pointing out that the former Fifth Harmony musician does in fact play guitar.
