McDonalds worker shot in face with paintball gun because ice cream machine was being cleaned
A McDonalds worker was shot in the face with a paintball gun by a customer who was furious that the restaurant’s ice cream machine was being cleaned.
Kivana Menyweathers, 25, was struck with the yellow capsule Monday after telling a drive-thru customer he wouldn’t be able to have the ice cream or frappe he had ordered.

She told Click On Detroit that he appeared to be fine with the inconvenience, and ordered ten McNuggets and some burgers instead.
But when it was time for her to hand over the food, the man shot Kivana when she leaned out the window to give him his food.
The traumatized worker said: ‘I was opening up the window to get money, I didn’t know he was going to shoot me in the face.
‘If it had any been closer, i probably would have been blind, because the impact was so hard, my face is still stiff.
‘I looked over at my McDonalds shirt and it was yellow paint splattered everywhere mixed with blood.’
Kivana, who works at the fast food giant’s outlet in Michigan Avenue, Dearborn added: ‘People think its my fault, i did something wrong, and it’s my customer service.
‘It’s not my fault he wanted to shoot me in the face with a paintball gun.’
Kivana said the incident has left her too nervous to return to work, but she worries about not being able to pay her bills.
