Man ‘admits’ killing mother and taking her severed head to grocery store
A man has admitted cutting his mom’s head off before bringing it on a trip to a grocery store but claims he was insane when he did so.
Joshua Webb, 37, is set to plead guilty except for insanity to slaughtering Tina Webb, 59, and his dog at their home in Colton, Or., last Mother’s Day.

His lawyers told Clackamas County Circuit Court last Friday that he was suffering from an unnamed ‘mental disease or defect’ at the time of the horrific attack.
He killed his mom last May, before slicing her head off and bringing it to the Harvest Market Thriftway store in Estacada.
There, Webb also stabbed employee Mike Wagner, 65, with the worker and other onlookers managing to subdue the killer before he could hurt anyone else.
They tied him up with duct tape until emergency workers arrived, reports The Oregonian.
An affidavit seen by the paper said Webb’s ex-girlfriend had told investigators about his ‘erratic’ behavior in the months leading up to the killing.
But Webb’s father said he spoke to his son the night before, and that he appeared normal.
He has been charged with murder, attempted murder, first-degree abuse of a corpse and aggravated animal abuse.
Webb, who is being held in Clackamas County Jail, denies those charges, and is due to stand trial in June.
