It’s fashion week, which is where we find out what we’ll all be wearing in a few months time. It’s also, lesser known fact, where we find out what the next big trends in hair and make up are going to be.

And if Markus Lupfer’s show is anything to do with, the next big trend might just be crystallizing your parting.

We fully accept that this is quite a look, and it might be a bit much for the office (though if you’re going to wear this to work, more power to you) but for a big night out for a festival? Dreamy.

The look seems to have been achieved by getting hair super smooth and flat to the head (we’d suggest getting handy with a pair of GHDs and either a shine spray like this one, or coconut oil) and then creating a super straight parting (tail comb and Mason Pearson bristle brush for best results) and studding your parting with gems.

When it comes to the gems, you could use this type, which would stick to your skin, but might fall off. Another option is to affix with liquid latex, but please do a patch test before hand, and make sure it doesn’t end up damaging your hair too much.

You can check out a YouTube tutorial of how to achieve this look, here.

If you do try this look out we would absolutely love to see it – hit us up with photos @MetroUK_Life.
