Nicola Roberts has confirmed that she is back in the studio with her bestie and former bandmate Cheryl.
And it looks like a duet isn’t entirely off the table.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk at the CIROC x MTV & Wonderland party at London’s The Ned, Nicola confirmed: ‘I’ve been writing. Working on songs for me and Cheryl.’
When we asked whether that could mean a duet was in the pipeline, Nicola laughed – but didn’t dash our dreams entirely.
Perhaps we could see 2/5 of a Girls Aloud reunion after all.
The 32-year-old looked elegant as always at the London Fashion Week bash, which was attended by stars including Professor Green, Naughty Boy, Felicity Hayward and Iskra Lawrence.
Nicola wore a long white silk dress featuring colourful embroidery on the side, with the frock standing out starkly against her trademark red locks.
Carrying a green clutch bag and rocking steel tipped heeled loafers, Nicola gave the other fashionistas a run for their money at the bash.
The Beat Of My Drum singer was seen taking selfies with Pro Green and Naughty Boy, who has also been helping Cheryl with her comeback to the charts.

However, the producer has his eye on another girlband too – the Spice Girls.
Speaking about leaving a track free for the girls on his upcoming album, Naughty Boy told Metro.co.uk: ‘There’s one more I’m waiting for, the Spice Girls. I’ve asked the question. So we’ll see.’
