Nicola Rubinstein’s well laid plans are set to be shattered in Coronation Street when her dastardly dad Pat Phelan discovers that she and Gary Windass have been secretly plotting to destroy him – but what action will he take in response?
When Phelan makes a copy of Nicola’s flat keys, suspicious as to what she is hiding behind closed doors, he discovers that she has been harbouring Seb Franklin and the pieces start to fall into place for him.
He has crushed that his daughter, the one person he is completely devoted to, has betrayed him and later confronts Gary, telling him that he knows what is going on and leaving him unsettled over what he is capable of doing next.
Things take a turn for the worse when Nicola, while talking to Sarah Platt and encouraging her to give Gary another chance, takes ill and is rushed to hospital with stomach pains. While waiting for news, Phelan blames Gary for turning Nicola against him but Gary points out that the blame lies with him alone as he is a liar and a murderer.
Thankfully, Nicola is given the all clear but Phelan approaches her and asks for a private word. Is he about to confront her about what she and Gary were planning to do?
Or does he have something even more sinister in mind?
