Thriller Live cast brings Naughty Boy and Joe Jonas’ Once Chance To Dance to life
Naughty Boy has unveiled the new video for One Chance To Dance.
The cast of the hit London show Thriller Live got involved with Naughty Boy’s latest track One Chance To Dance, who look a damn sight better than when we try and crack out the moves on the dance floor.
The single itself was co-written by DNCE’s Joe Jonas and Emeli Sande and comes from Naughty Boy’s upcoming album, due out in spring, and hears Joe Jonas plea with a girl he likes to give him a dance.
We’ll be there for you Joe, even if all we can do is the running man.
‘I had the tune just sitting there for about a year,’ Naughty Boy (a.k.a Shahid Khan) confessed. ‘I knew I wanted to do something with it for my new album but I just wasn’t sure exactly what at the time. I’m a big fan of DNCE track Cake by The Ocean and when the guys were in town recently I met Joe, he came in the studio and we just vibed on the tune.’
‘One Chance To Dance was inspired by Michael Jackson songs,’ Naughty Boy added. ‘But it’s about not being as good as Michael Jackson. I was thinking about his songs and a new pop tune that would reflect that era of music and that’s why it has a sort of old school sound to it.’
Michael Garsin, the video’s director added: ‘It was a dream 3 hours on a West End stage! We wanted to create something that showed off the exceptional ability and passion of the Thriller Live cast, who with Aisling Duffy’s choreography perfectly brought Naughty Boy and Joe Jonas’s inspirational song to life.
‘My cinematographers Simeon Geyer and Joesph Edwards and I all channeled our inner Michael Jackson to make the cameras dance as much as the cast. Hopefully it’s something everyone can enjoy watching as much as we did making it.’
One Chance To Dance is out now.
