Terry Crews kept his role in Deadpool 2 a secret and people have lost their minds over it
These days it seems increasingly hard to keep any sort of mystery around a movie or TV show.
But, yesterday Ryan Reynolds, Terry Crews and David Leitch all managed to basically blow our minds yesterday when it was revealed the Expendables actor was going to be in Deadpool 2.
The trials and tribulations of the Merc With A Mouth have always been kept tightly under-wraps, in fact, producer and star Reynolds took particular delight in trolling everyone on a near weekly basis with ifs, buts and maybes (and the usual jokes) in the run-up to the first films release.
So, a surprise trailer (extended teaser) drop yesterday whilst a surprise wasn’t all that… surprising.
You know what we mean.
But what really blew everyone’s minds, aside from Josh Brolin looking incredible as Cable, was the news that Mr. Crews has bagged a role in the Marvel movie.
What made it even more of a jaw-dropper was the whole ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ way Reynolds and Leitch made the reveal.
Stood in the open hatch of a chopper next to Deadpool and a few other characters, Terry is dressed ready for action.
But we weren’t quite ready for him and his reveal, as the biggest point picked up by fans of the trailer was the reveal.
‘Can we please talk about how Deadpool kept @terrycrews under wraps this whole time [?!]’ was the general vibe.

Obviously Ryan and the rest of the gang have kept their silence, and brushed off any and all questions/hype about the whole thing.
It’s not known who Terry will play, but hot favourite in the speculation stakes is that he’s going to play Wade Wilson’s fellow mercenary, G.W. Bridge.
The character has been widely used in both Deadpool and X-Force comic books. This could potentially mean that the Brooklyn 99 star will now be a recurring character in the wider MCU.

For the meantime we’ll all just have to keep an eye on Ryan’s Twitter account for more teasers ahead of the film’s May release.
