The Margaret River Hockey Club is gearing up for a new season with their first Masters game coming up on April 5.
“We have started a bit of pre-season training and we are now recruiting new players,” said the club’s Jeanette Smith.
The club is holding a muster this Friday February 9 at the Western Oval Pavilion between 3:30 and 7:30 pm.
“We have asked everyone to bring their sticks along as we will be having a bit of a fun afternoon with a flicking competition and a few other games planned.”
This year the MRHC will field five junior teams – Year 3 – 5 Mixed, Year 6-8 Boys, Year 6-8 Girls, Year 9-12 Boys and Year 9-12 Girls.
“The Hook in2 Hockey program will once again be run by Debbie Storey for the pre-primary to Year 2 aged players.
“The club is also looking for more senior players for our men's, women's and master's teams and I’d encourage anyone who is interested in playing to come along and meet us at the great family-friendly, all ages club.”
