EastEnders have finally revealed that Sharon Mitchell was the one to take the missing heist money – but there are still plenty of problems to solve such as the fact that Aidan and Ciara Maguire are still on a furious mission to get the cash back. It can’t be a simple case of sheepish Sharon simply handing it back – that’s not in her nature and her whole motive for taking it was to prove that she shouldn’t be messed with or underestimated.

Plus, who would she give it to? In handing it over, she would expose her deed to the person without the money who would undoubtedly seek revenge. And nobody wants Aidan chucking a chair at them.

So Sharon and her somehow new best mate Mel Owen are in a bit of a pickle. They have bonded enough for Mel to understand where Sharon is coming from and not want to throw her to the dogs. But also, Mel can only find her son Hunter and be reunited with him if Ciara gets her cash.

Tonight, Mel and Sharon head out to Ciara’s home in a bid to sort the situation out once and for all – but what is their plan and what will the outcome be? We know that what follows is Mel getting Hunter back.

But will Sharon still keep the money and manage to pull the wool over Ciara’s eyes? And will this finally prove to be the end of the matter?

It’s clear that Ciara has something on Mel – but are the tables about to be finally turned and put Mel and Sharon firmly in the driving seat?

EastEnders continues on Monday 5th February at 8pm on BBC One.
