Incredible drone footage shows a daredevil inching his way across a tightrope as enormous waves almost knock him off.
At one point, Emerson Machado is sent spinning around the wire between two cliffs in Nazaré, Portugal – but somehow manages to cling on.

The risky activity is known as slacklining and involves crossing or balancing on a wire.
And it is hugely risky when the wire is suspended at such a height over crashing waves below.
Brazilian Emerson, 28, said: ‘It’s calculated risk, we are not crazy like it may seem at first sight.
‘In reality, everything was planned to the minor details.
‘Over the years, we’ve performed walks in many locations, including Nazaré, and we take this very seriously.’

He said the group ensured the wire was secure on both cliffs before he attempted to cross it.
Footage of the stunt makes for a spectacular scene, with some of the larger waves engulfing Emerson and even knocking him off his balance.
