Antonio Conte is relishing

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is refusing to back down in his war of words with Jose Mourinho and club bosses will not stop the pair from clashing during the Blues’ clash with Manchester United later this month.

The pair clashed over the New Year when Conte replied to thinly-veiled dig from Mourinho referring to him as a ‘clown’ by calling the Special One ‘fake’ and a ‘little man’ with no profile.

The Italian was irked by Mourinho raising a match-fixing claim that was levelled at Conte during his time at Siena but the 48-year-old was eventually cleared.

United host Chelsea on February 25th and Conte is relishing the opportunity to clash with Mourinho, according to the Mirror.

Chelsea officials believe Mourinho’s got under Conte’s skin but respect the Italian’s anger at the Special One and will not take action against him should he escalate the situation at Old Trafford.

Conte is said to have even warned the club that he plans to confront Mourinho and Old Trafford could see a repeat of the scenes witnessed at Stamford Bridge last season when the pair exchanged words.

Mourinho was angry with Conte’s celebrations during a 4-0 win on his first trip back to the club since moving to Old Trafford.
