Kylie Minogue‘s comeback video for Dancing is a boot scooting, stetson-wearing delight.
In an unexpected move for the singer, she’s opted for a slightly different direction for her comeback video, but it’s dripping in sparkles, there’s a nod to Dolly Parton and her moves are on point. That, my friend, is how one does a comeback.
Well, having been around for over 30 years on the music scene it’s unsurprising Kylie knows how to get people talking.
Kylie is seen in the video playing a guitar which she apparently bought for £12 from a junk shop, and though the opening of the video has a somewhat Nashville feel, it was actually filmed in London’s Bush Hall.
Speaking of what the song’s all about, Kylie said: ‘Life’s all just moments which all join up – some of them are great, and some of them are less than sparkling – but ultimately I wanted this video to reflect the celebratory nature of the song.’
It took two days and was directed by Sophie Muller. It comes from Kylie’s upcoming 14th album, which follows on from her last release in 2016.
Golden is due out in spring, and Kylie said: ‘I promised my fans that I would be putting my heart and soul into this record and I stayed true to my word. I was able to do that, which was challenging, and fun, and rewarding.
‘It’s ended up with a different direction for sure, but essentially I’d still say it’s very much a Kylie record.’
