Emmerdale spoilers: Debbie Dingle’s revenge has devastating consequences as Ross Barton is the victim of an acid attack
Debbie Dingle’s determination for revenge on Joseph Tate is about to lead to terrible consequences for her former lover Ross Barton in Emmerdale when he becomes the victim of a shocking acid attack. Will he ever forgive her as he realises her involvement in the terrible events?
After failing to burn down Home Farm and when her plot to plant drugs at Joe’s party is foiled when Graham Foster gets wind of the plan, Debbie is angrier than ever.
She is certain that Joe can’t get away with crossing her family and so contacts drug dealer Simon, who finds himself beaten up in the wake of the failed drugs plan. Debbie refuses to pay an angry Simon as the plan didn’t work out but she tells him that she will hand over the money as agreed if he does something to seriously mess Joe up.
At this point, Debbie is so consumed with hate and rage that she doesn’t realise the extent of what she is ordering and as her dark side comes to the fore, she waits for news on Joe being injured.
But meanwhile, Ross has stolen one of Joe’s cars as revenge for being fired from Home Farm for being in league with Debbie and when Simon sees him getting out of it, a case of mistaken identity has terrible consequences that could turn his life upside down forever.
As Simon runs at Ross and throws acid in his face, Ross is left screaming in agony. Emmerdale are not revealing at this point how bad the damage is or what happens next but it is the beginning of Ross’ most difficult ever storyline as he tries to come to terms with the results of the harrowing attack.
