McFly’s Danny Jones welcomes first child to world – and he has a pretty cool name
McFly star Danny Jones and his wife Georgia have welcomed their first born, and picked a pretty cool name.
Danny became the third member of McFly to become a dad and he marked the occasion by making sure his little one has a pretty cool name – Cooper Alf Jones.
The couple welcomed their new baby on Saturday 27 January.
The pair announced the news on Instagram, with Danny writing: ‘So overwhelmed with love, welcome to earth Cooper Alf Jones born today 1:36am.’
Fans previously guessed that the couple, who married in 2014, would be having a little boy after the Obviously singer shared a picture of a tiny pair of chelsea boots – many eagle-eyed followers speculated the blue stitching meant he was having a son.
But his former Miss England wife denied they knew the sex, adding they were keeping it as a ‘surprise.’
‘Just a pair of unisex grey shoes guys!! We absolutely 100% don’t know what we’re having! #lovesurprises,’ she said.
In a super cute display of excitement, Danny gushed about his impending fatherhood during an appearance on Good Morning Britain where Eamonn Holmes asked him if he’s ready.
During the show on 31 August, confessed he’d already felt the baby kick – with his face – and that he already feels overwhelming love for his new baby.
‘I got my first kick in the face yesterday, actually my second little kick. It’s amazing news, I’m over the moon,’ he said.

He admitted that his little’un is due January and he’s not nervous at all. That will change Danny, oh how that will change.
‘No [I’m not nervous] I’m excited, I can’t wait! I mean I don’t even know where my keys are so I don’t know how [I’ll cope].’
The couple announced their gorgeous news with a video documenting each of their reveals as they told their friends and family their amazing news.
Speaking about the video, Danny said: ‘I had no idea she was filming! I’d flown in from somewhere and I came in in a bit of a mood, I was like “what do you want?!” and she was like “I’ve got a present for you.”‘
