K-pop band B1A4 were rushed to hospital after being involved in a car crash.

The WM Entertainment group – made up of CNU, Baro, Gongchan, Sandeul and Jinyoung – were set to perform at the ICON Concert in Inje in support of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, and were travelling to the venue when the accident occurred.

According to Soompi, B1A4 were driving through the Gapyeong are in the Gyeonggi province when their car collided with the vehicle in front of them.

A representative for B1A4 confirmed the accident took place on 27 January and said: ‘B1A4 has been taken to a nearby hospital for further examinations following the accident. They will unfortunately not be attending the scheduled event.

‘We sincerely apologise for causing concern and we will do our best to focus on our artists’ recovery.’

It is not believed that any of the singers’ injuries are serious.

Another statement after the boyband members have been treated is expected to be released.

B1A4 debuted in 2011 and have had hits with songs including Beautiful Target, Baby Good Night and Solo Day.

Their seventh EP Rollin’ was released back in September.
