Lachlan White is a killer on the edge in Emmerdale – and he has made it clear to his aunt Rebecca that he will do anything to preserve his relationship with Belle Dingle, even if it means murdering another member of his family.
As Lachlan was thrown into a panic upon realising that he had left a voicemail of the crash on Gerry’s phone, he was bought some time when he learned that the phone was in the shop waiting to be repaired.
However, with Robert Sugden certain that he saw Rebecca move, Lachlan is afraid that she will come round and expose the dark secret that he was responsible for the crash which killed Lawrence and Chrissie.
As he loomed over her hospital bed, he told her how much he loved Belle. Beginning ominously with ‘that just leaves you’, he hit home the fact that he refuses to lose Belle as he couldn’t cope without her.
Future scenes will see Lachlan act out his dastardly threat when he grabs the breathing tubes which are currently keeping Rebecca alive. But will he really go through with ending the life of another relative or will he be stopped either by himself or someone else?
And what about that voicemail? On the day of the funeral, Gerry and Belle prepare to listen to the message – are they about to discover the staggering truth?
