Hayley Williams has responded to a fan who was injured in the Manchester bombing who tweeted thanking her for the recent Paramore gig at the MEN.

The fan bravely returned to the Manchester arena eight months after being caught up in the terrorist attack on 22 May last year during an Ariana Grande concert where they were injured alongside a family member.

Known as Jay on Twitter, they revealed their gig of choice was a Paramore concert, and it appears to have been a very good choice.

They wrote: ‘I would just like to thanks @paramore @yelyahwilliams for teaching me that concerts are a safe and fun place for everyone. Last night in Manchester was my first time back at a concert since I was injured on 22nd at Ariana Grandes show. I know Hayley will never see this but.’

But Hayley did see it, and responded to Jay, whose original tweet garnered 5,886 likes.

She wrote in response: ‘I see you and im so thankful you came to our show. so glad you made it.’

Followers were quick to comment on the exchange.

One wrote: ‘this is so great’ while another added: ‘This makes me so emotional. This band and their music is just the most beautiful thing ever. So glad you did go to the concert.’

And a third commented: ‘Omg, this is so beautiful.’

Jay previously posted a reminder of the attack on the six month anniversary which detailed the horrifying ordeal.

It said: ‘This time 6 months ago I was sat on a side street near the arena in manchester with my auntie, we were both bleeding. Trying to contact my parents to tell them a bomb had gone off and me and my aunt were injured. With all the ambulances, police and bomb squad driving past.’

Thankfully though, despite being injured, not only does Jay seem to be on the mend, both physically and in being able to return to the Manchester Arena to enjoy good music.
