Emmerdale spoilers: Boss reveals serious consequences for killer Lachlan White

Emmerdale’s boss Iain MacLeod has hinted at serious consequences ahead for Lachlan White as soon as this week as he takes shocking action – but has also suggested that his genuine love for Belle Dingle could form part of his redemption.

Fans know that the unstable youngster is responsible for the deaths of his mum Chrissie and his grandfather Lawrence as well as leaving his aunt Rebecca in a coma from which she might not wake.

He is determined to keep his role in the catastrophic crash a secret and so will be left terrified when he discovers that there is a voicemail on Gerry’s phone which will expose everything. Meanwhile, Rebecca is showing signs of waking up and she could also be the one to bring him down.

As Lachlan is thrown into a panic on the day of the funeral, he races to intercept the voicemail as Gerry and Belle prepare to listen to it – and he also faces a dangerous crossroads as he prepares to kill Rebecca, grabbing her breathing tubes and tightening his grip while he apologises tearfully.
