Ready for another week of highs and lows in Erinsborough?
This week, things take a downward turn for David and Aaron (to be fair, how was he ever going to come back from that dreadful Cupid outfit?) as Aaron can no longer keep his secret, and Piper has got a huge decision to make.
Gabe also finally gets his very special ceremony, and Steph returns to the street after having a break. Will things be how she left them?
David finds out about Paris
Aaron was never going to keep that one secret forever, especially with ex Rory hanging around ready to let the cat out of the bag at any moment.
After Aaron cancels on David for brunch in order to attend a Rough Trade audition, a gutted David decides to attend the the audition to give Aaron some support, only to notice Rory is wearing a tour t-shirt from Paris 2017 and the penny suddenly drops. Can Aaron make him believe nothing happened?
Piper to leave Ramsay Street?
With everything going on (you know, the little thing that her bloke is up on a murder charge) it wouldn’t be a bad thing for Piper to get away. And when a University place in Queensland comes up it seems like perfect timing. Terese doesn’t want her moving away but is convinced by Toadie that distance from Tyler might be good.
Tyler then urges Piper to go too, but Piper is too headstrong for that and makes the decision to stay against everyone else’s wishes.
It’s over for Davron
Aaron is upset at his confrontation with David, but he only has himself to blame, as Rory points out. Of course he doesn’t Rory is a scheming little oik who wore the t-shirt on purpose, but Aaron doesn’t realise that. And he doesn’t realise that David is taking advice from dad Paul, who tells him once a liar always a liar.
David then makes a decision about his future, and sadly for Aaron, he’s not in it.
Piper has a huge favour to ask that puts Ben at risk
There is one person who holds the key to Tyler’s freedom – Ben. Piper, downcast about what’s doing on, comes up with a plan. If Ben will change his statement against Tyler it could change everything. So she goes to the Kennedy lad and pleads – to change his statement so that Tyler acted in self defence.
Now Ben’s torn between doing what’s right and saving his friend.
Steph’s really falling for Jack – but is he feeling the same?
Steph returns from her huge three week break and can’t wait to see her man, but little does she know Jack’s head is elsewhere. He’s more preoccupied with getting Gabe and Paige back from the airport than having lunch with his missus.
She confides in Toadie that she’s liking Jack more and more, who in turn has a little chat with Jack. So Jack invites Steph over for a romantic evening and she’s thrilled, but is he masking his true feelings?
Piper might have ruined Tyler’s chances of freedom
Oh Piper and her ability to meddle. She decides to do a video of vox pops of people saying how wonderful Tyler is to help his case. But as soon as she posts it online, trolls get involved and one shares a video of Piper yelling at him fr punching T-Bone.
The good old West Waratah Star run a damning story on him using the footage, and now it looks like Piper has ruined everything, particularly if a juror watches that. Is Tyler sunk?
Gabe gets christened
Amongst all the upset in Ramsay Street there’s always a bit of happiness- and it’s finally time for Baby Gabe to be christened.
Paige and Jack ask Amy to be a godparent, and it looks like Paige might want to ask Mark, much to the chagrin of Jack. But she surprises Jack, she has someone else in mind.
Scenes air from Monday, 22 January 2018 on Channel 5 at 1.30pm and 5.30pm.
