During the height of Boyzone's fame in the 90s he enjoyed years of wild partying amid performances.

Yet Shane Lynch has revealed he has now toned down his ways and claims he won't be drinking in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Speaking to The Sun, the 41-year-old singer called himself a 'changed man', as he explained that he wouldn't be allowing himself to let loose on the show.

He revealed: 'I have been a heavy drinker through life – I like to drink and party a lot but I'm a changed man.

'I'm not going to be partying in there. I've been there, done that. I'm a different person now but I won't mind the young ones getting on with it. They can crack on.'

Despite admitting he wants to take things easy, he admitted he's no push over, confessing: 'I generally do whatever the f*** I want and I don’t mean that in a bad way but I do whatever I want, whenever I want.'

Shane was one-fifth of beloved Nineties boyband Boyzone alongside Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, and the late Stephen Gately.

They enjoyed wild success as a group before they disbanded in 2000 and then reunited in 2007.

Shane has since taken up auto racing and acts as a judge on The All Ireland Talent Show.

On Friday night Shane was one of eight male housemates to enter the Celebrity Big Brother compound, and admitted on his entry that Coronation Street legend Amanda Barrie, 82, might be 'disgusted by how I look' and not enjoy his tattoos.

Shane no doubt picked up some tips from his sister Edele, who was previously a member of Nineties girl group B*Witched and starred on CBB in 2014.

Edele finished in sixth place, Shane could be seen cheering her on in the crowds outside the Borehamwood studio before the live evictions
