Sergio Aguero insists he’s ‘happy’ at Manchester City and denies rift with Pep Guardiola
Sergio Aguero admits he will ‘see what happens’ at the end of the season but insists he’s happy at Manchester City.
While the Argentine has scored 16 goals in all competitions for City this term, the rise of Gabriel Jesus has seen his game-time reduced as Pep Guardiola‘s side bully their way to the Premier League title.
There were reports of a rift between Aguero and Guardiola earlier in the campaign but the striker, City’s all-time record goalscorer, has denied any bad blood.
'I'm proud' – Mesut Ozil hints he's ready to sign deal at 'big club' Arsenal
Asked about his relationship with Guardiola after the 3-1 defeat of Watford, the attacker replied: ‘Everything is fine.’
Aguero claims he is satisfied with life at the Etihad, but it appears there is some confusion over the length of his deal.
‘I have until 2020, I think,’ the forward responded when pressed on his contract.
‘The truth is that I hope to see out my contract and I’ll try to do my best from here until the end of the season, and after that we will see what happens with me.’
Asked if he plans to stay on at City next season, Aguero replied: ‘Yes, for me yes. Obviously my plan is not to change clubs.
‘The truth is I’m very happy here, but as always, as I said before, the club has the last word.
‘They’re the only ones who decide, because obviously the club is the one who makes the decisions, they are the ones who say you have to go or have to stay.
‘So I’ll respect whatever the club tells me.’

City are lining up a move for Alexis Sanchez and a deal for the Arsenal star could see Aguero pushed out of the door at the Etihad.
It’s understood the Gunners are listening to offers of at least £25million for the Chilean.
