Australia resume day five of the fourth Ashes Test still chasing England's first innings score of 491.

Steve Smith and David Warner return to the crease for the hosts after a rain-affected fourth day limited the play.

The focus instead was on allegations of ball tampering, with both Jimmy Anderson and Joe Root coming under scrutiny from a whinging Australian contingent.

After surrendering the old urn by losing the first three Tests of the five-match series, Joe Root's side are playing for pride.
