Best friends for 60 years find out they’re actually brothers
Two best friends who have known each other for 60 years are celebrating a ‘Christmas miracle’.
They have just found out they are brothers.

Alan Robinson and Walter Macfarlane, who live in Oahu, Hawaii, were both born and raised on the island.
They met at school and went on to share a friendship that remains strong to this day.
And now the two men, who were born 15 months apart, have realised that they share the same birth mother.
KHON2 reported that Mr Macfarlane never knew his father while Mr Robinson was adopted out of the family.
Mr Robinson told KHON2: ‘I had a younger brother that I lost when he was 19, so I never had nieces or nephews. I thought I’ll never know my birth mother.’
In a separate bid to trace his father, Mr Macfarlane turned to a family history and DNA website and carried out a test.
Results showed he shares an identical X chromosome with a user named robi737 – Robi was Mr Robinson’s nickname, and 737 refers to the planes he flew as a pilot for Aloha Airlines.
A few phone calls between the friends was all it took to confirm that they shared the same mother.

Mr Robinson added: ‘It was an overwhelming experience, it’s still overwhelming. I don’t know how long it’s going to take for me to get over this feeling.
‘This is the best Christmas present I could ever imagine having.’
