The end could be nigh for once solid couple Martin and Stacey Fowler as Stacey has been drawn back into the world of her ex Max Branning in EastEnders. But as the pair sleep together, is Stacey set to leave her husband and family for a man who seems to provide more excitement?
Max touched a nerve when he suggested that Stacey had lost her edge of fun and risk and when old sparks started to fly, they ended up in each others’ arms on the floor of the living room floor. Martin is currently oblivious to what Stacey has done with Max but will the truth be exposed in a classic Christmas Day showdown – and will this lead to Martin calling time on his marriage?

Stacey has settled into her family life with Martin and the pair recently welcomed a new baby to the fold. But since Max became more heavily reliant on Stacey, old feelings started to return, leading to a mistake which could be costly.
There’s a lot of history between Max and Stacey and it remains to be seen whether this is the beginning of another affair or whether Stacey will put a stop to Max’s hopes of a reunion. But either way this is going to be destructive for her and Martin as things like this rarely stay secret in soap forever.
As Stacey is torn, Christmas Day is going to be interesting and this is just the beginning of catastrophic events which could destroy Max forever.
