It’s going to be a Christmas to remember in EastEnders – and it looks set to rip apart the Branning family forever as a catastrophic series of events destroys Max, Lauren and Abi. And the catalyst is the epic downfall of Max, with all of his sins coming back to haunt him in a big way.
Metro.co.uk were invited to watch the huge episodes and we can promise you that you won’t be disappointed. Naturally, to preserve the enjoyment for the audience, we are sworn to secrecy but we still set out to grab a chat with Jacqueline Jossa and Lorna Fitzgerald who are right at the centre of the action as they make their exits.
They promised something huge for fans of the show and during the chat we also spoke about how Jacqueline and Lorna feel about leaving their characters behind and what the fan reactions have been to recent character driven episodes for the family.
Viewers know that the episodes are building up to a double exit for Lauren and Abi so whatever happens and whether the endings are happy or suitably grim, it’s the end of an era for one of the show’s most popular families.
One thing is for sure – the EastEnders special deserves a place in the traditional Christmas Day schedule of the average Briton this year more than ever. Don’t miss it!
Hit play in the video above to see what Jacqueline and Lorna had to say!
The Christmas Day episode airs on BBC One at 9pm.
