Chandler Riggs cuts long hair after character’s fatal bite

Chandler Riggs tried out a new look after his character Carl Grimes suffered a fatal walker bite on The Walking Dead.
The 18-year-old actor had been sporting shoulder-length hair much like his character in the comic books that inspire the hit AMC show.
Chandler took to social media on Saturday and shared his fresh short haircut.

He also wrote for his 1.6 million followers on Twitter: 'new hair who dis'.
Chandler later tweeted: 'i feel so exposed like a naked mole rat or something'.
It was revealed during the mid-season finale earlier this month that Carl had been bitten by a walker.
Chandler has been playing the son of former sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes since The Walking Dead premiered on AMC on October 31, 2010.

Carl's pending demise was unexpected as the character remains alive in the ongoing comic books that inspire the show.
The Walking Dead will return from its mid-season hiatus on February 25, 2018.
Chandler was born in Atlanta and was cast to play Carl at age 10.

It was rumored in December 2016 that Chandler was set to leave the show after receiving an offer to attend Auburn University in Alabama.
Andrew Lincoln, 44, who play's Carl's father Rick, also was an original cast member of the show and remains a fixture on the popular series.
Rick and girlfriend Michonne, played by Danai Gurira, discovered at the end of the midseason finale that Carl was bitten.
