There’s Christmas chaos in Coronation Street this year as the festive season brings deadly showdowns, families hitting rock bottom, upsetting secrets and a potential murder discovery as the net closes in on Pat Phelan.
However, it’s not all horror and angst as there is some saucy passion for Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow, festive antics for Brian Packham and some hope for Aidan Connor and Robert Preston in the form of Christmas fairy godmother Carla.

Peter lashes out and takes revenge on Billy, driving him to the edge of a cliff. The consequences are disastrous and Ken takes control, ordering the Barlows to keep quiet about what has happened. Carla brings joy to the Connors but hides a secret while Amy is annoyed to discover that Tracy and Steve are back together and plots to sabotage the relationship.
Elsewhere, Brian ends up arrested after breaking into Dev’s and punching a stranger while Adam is staggered to discover the truth about his mum.
Boxing Day: 9pm
Hour long episode.
Adam reels from the news about what Billy did and Daniel finds him in a bad way after he takes painkillers with alcohol. Meanwhile, Billy’s life hangs in the balance as he arrests and is rushed to surgery while Eileen continues to worry about Todd – whose letter has been destroyed by Adam.
Carla makes a nice gesture to Aidan but urges Roy to keep quiet about her secret. Meanwhile, she is intrigued to learn about Kate and Rana’s affair from Michelle. Amy and Simon try to split up Steve and Tracy while Bethany tells Craig she is ready for a relationship and Alya demands to know why Aidan has arranged to meet the new clients without her.
Wednesday 27th December: 7:30pm
Alya is horrified to be on the receiving end of racist abuse from her potential new clients, who make appalling comments about her religion while Carla’s proposition to clear Robert’s debt infuriates him. Steve clocks Robert and Michelle arguing while Robert offers Daniel his job back.
Adam vows to get justice for his mum while Eileen wants to know more about what happened to Billy. Toyah fears that Peter still carries a torch for Carla so Angie urges her to get answers while Tracy tells Steve that Amy will just have to get used to their relationship.
Friday 29th December: 7:30pm
Roy confronts Carla when he thinks that she is drinking at the New Year party. When Carla slips out in tears after being hailed as a hero to the Connor family, Roy makes her an offer to stay in Weatherfield. Adam joins forces with Geraldine to make Billy pay and offers to help her get Summer taken away from the vicar.
Tracy is annoyed when Michelle proves to be a distraction to Steve while they are on a date and Brian invites Cathy and Alex to move in.
New Year’s Day: 7:30pm
Daniel plots to expose Chesney’s lies and takes his revenge in the bistro, making Chesney believe he is going to play the footage in the ginnel to Sinead – with dramatic consequences as Beth is injured in the melee.
Luke stands up for Alya as she faces more abuse at a further meeting and Roy implores Carla to tell the truth to her family after she gets cold feet about staying around. Elsewhere, Steve’s kind act of handing money he feels he owes to Michelle infuriates Tracy.
Wednesday 3rd January: 7:30pm
Luke finds himself on the receiving end of an intimidation campaign but when he later finds a clue to Andy, his curiosity is piqued. A break in at the garage has terrifying results for Roy when he is caught up in it.
Tyrone makes Daniel realise that he has gone too far and he apologises while Sinead expresses doubt for the future and Faye closes down Seb’s attempts to build bridges.
Roy springs a birthday party on Carla while Brian breaks the news that he is moving out.
Wednesday 3rd January: 8:30pm
Luke continues to suspect Phelan and gets in touch with Matt after finding Andy’s wire model in the cab office. Phelan learns that Gary is working on the mill where Vinny and Andy’s bodies are and Sinead doubts whether she can go ahead with the wedding.
Elsewhere, Robert heads to the flat after seeing Michelle handing the keys to Kate and Rana but will he catch them in the act? Roy is shaken off after the robbery and Carla reaches out to help her friend in need.
Thursday 4th January: 8:30pm
Faye offers Seb a place to stay if he changes his statement about Anna and he is furious and returns to Phelan’s side where he is plied with booze. Phelan ensures that Seb’s fingerprints end up all over the gun used to shoot Andy and Vinny.
Steve hands a cheque to a touched Michelle then promises Tracy that he has no feelings for her. Luke grows more suspicious and is distracted from his day in court and Eileen is questioned by police over Todd.
Tyrone begs Sinead to give Chesney another chance while Toyah is uneasy to see how well Peter and Carla get on.
Friday 5th January: 7:30pm
Luke confronts Phelan about Andy after seeing him talking with Matt and discovering the truth while Zeedan is shocked to learn that Rana is ‘pregnant’.
Elsewhere, Sean makes a mistake by leaving fruit in George’s reach leaving Jude and Angie furious while Shona tells Eileen that Nicola hasn’t moved to Australia. Meanwhile Alya receives hate mail and Adam hires Imran. Meanwhile Toyah and Eva double book the back room, leading to tension.
Friday 5th January: 8:30pm
Luke and Phelan come to blows as a truth emerges and a violent fight leads to an intense car chase. Sean accuses Jude and Angie when he loses his job at the medical centre but it appears that he has the wrong end of the stick.
Rana assures Kate that she plans to finally tell Zeedan the truth. Imran vows to help Alya.
