Karen Gillan has worked with some of the biggest movie action heroes there are thanks to her roles in Guardians Of The Galaxy and Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle.
But when it comes to two of her leading men, she knows who would win in a fight.
Metro.co.uk asked Karen whether Chris Pratt – aka Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Star-Lord – or Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – who plays Dr Smolder Bravestone in the Jumanji sequel – would win in a scrap, and she gave us her answer.
Karen said: ‘In a fight? That’s a tough one. I’m gonna say The Rock. He’s a wrestler!’
Karen plays ass-kicking femme fatale Ruby Roundhouse, the avatar of self-conscious teenager Martha, in Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, alongside a cast including Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Nick Jonas and The Rock.
And yep, The Rock is just as lovely as he seems on Instagram.
Karen, 30, said of the wrestler turned actor: ‘I wish I had some insider story to give you, but he’s just genuinely one of the most generous, kind, professional human beings that I’ve ever encountered. He’s just great.’
And the actress would be behind Johnson running for US president – something that has been highly rumoured.
She said: ‘He’s such a good leader in a situation, I just feel like he needs to run the world one day. I think he should. I would vote for him.’
After Jumanji, Karen’s next appearance on the big screen will be the return of Nebula in the highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War.
And while she couldn’t tell us that much about it, she assured us to have high expectations.
Karen said: ‘I can tell you that it’s going to be more than just a movie, it’s a cinematic event. I get goosebumps even talking about it. If you’re a fan of Marvel movies, you’re going to be so overly satisfied. Things have been planted ten years ago that are going to be relevant now. They’ve really put so much thought into this.’
More: Chris Pratt
So who would win in a fight – Nebula or Jumanji’s karate queen Ruby Roundhouse?
Karen told us: ‘That’s a tough one. I’m gonna go Nebula, because she is the biggest sadist in the galaxy and that helps.’
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle is in cinemas nationwide on 20 December.
