Aaron Dingle is set to be forced to confront his feelings for Robert Sugden in Emmerdale – but as he denies that he still loves his ex and finds passion with Dr Alex, is he kidding himself?
The confusion for Aaron comes in the wake of a special – and very different – Christmas Day episode for Robert which sees him taken on a bizarre journey out of his normal reality. This involves him having to look at his estrangement from Aaron and we will see clearly that the love from Robert to Aaron is still very much there. As if we ever doubted it!
However, Aaron is currently trying to build a relationship with Alex in order to move on with his life and Liv is pleased to hear that they are meeting for a drink.
Aaron is forced to deny that his feelings for Robert have been rekindled as he heads on a date with Alex but his hangups over his body and the scars continue to plague him. It’s down to Faith who understands better than anyone what he is feeling to talk him through this.
Aaron summons up the courage to tell Alex that he has self harmed in the past and as Alex is understanding, things get steamy between them and they take the next step in their relationship.

But while Aaron is glad to have been honest about his scars, how will he feel in the wake of what happens between him and Alex? Does his heart still lie with Robert?
