Christmas jumpers, on the whole, are pretty lame.

They’re supposed to be cheesy as hell because the festive season thrives on all things kitsch.

And now Aldi has released a line of Chrimbo jumpers – with matching items for your pets.

Yep, your little pooch or kittie can now suffer the humiliation of having to wear a unicorn-themed jumper alongside you.

The festive jumpers are available in a range of sizes: human adult (£7.99), human child (£5.99), dog and cat (both £3.99).

And they all come in a variety of styles to match your – and your four-legged friend’s – personalities.

But why would a creature covered in fur need or want a jumper?

Well, according to Aldi: ‘Despite their natural furry coats, some pets require a little more warmth over winter, whether they’re dozing in the house or running about on a brisk walk.

‘The jumpers are designed to be suitable for both, with three sizes available, a button hole to put the lead through, and sweet knitted designs.’

They say that pets shouldn’t have to miss out on the festive cheer that comes with ‘novelty holiday clothing’.

But you know what, pets can’t actually consent to being dressed up or not so I guess we’ll never know.

*Sigh*.
