Roxanne Pallett has addressed the backlash she has received from former Emmerdale co-stars, suggesting that she simply made mistakes in the past.

Appearing on Jeremy Vine on Monday morning, Roxanne was asked by Jeremy what she had to say to the news that many of her former co-stars had spoken out against her after she made false allegations of physical assault against Ryan Thomas.

I think we all make friends and enemies along the way in life and in jobs, and unfortunately when you make mistakes theres a lot of people who want to contribute to the backlash, she said.

Theres been instances in my career and my life where Ive spoken up immediately. Ive become that person who at the first instance of upset, Ill highlight it. I went too far this time.

What about all the other accusations youve made along the years? Backtracking because no ones on your side. If those cameras hadnt have been there, he would be finished. End of. #Roxanne

In response however, current Emmerdale star Charley Webb shared her doubts at the sincerity of the apology, adding that Roxanne had made other allegations over the years.

After accusing Roxanne of backtracking because no ones on your side (sic), Charley later told her to bore off after her segment on the Channel 5 programme had ended. She also pointed out that it seemed that play fighting with Ben Jardine was fine but not with Ryan.

Shes not mentally ill or in need of help. That denounces that people with actual mental health issues are as vindictive and menacing as her. They are not. There is a big difference. That was calculated and manipulative beyond belief. Ryan ❤

Roxannes a known, compulsive liar. Ryan wouldnt harm a fly. Horrible, attention seeking little liar. Goes from being upset & in pain to dancing & drinking – to going bed, crying she cant sleep in the same room as Ryan, to worrying about being nominated? You be the judge #CBB

Kelvin Fletcher tweeted about his on-screen wifes behaviour in the Celebrity Big Brother house, alleging that the 35-year-old is not mentally ill but was instead calculated and manipulative beyond belief.

Danny Miller branded her a known, compulsive liar and a horrible, attention seeking little liar.

Roxanne Pallett starred in Emmerdale playing the role of Jo Sugden from 2005 to 2008.

He later added: I feel incredibly sorry for @ryanjamesthomas that he cant escape Roxanne. I was lucky enough to avoid her but hes stuck in a house with her!

The 35-year-old actress left the CBB house this weekend, and appeared on Jeremys first show on Channel 5 after taking over from Matthew Wright.

When asked whether Ryan had touched her in the incident, Roxanne said he did – but said: When I look back on that footage, as soon as I left the house… I got it wrong.

Roxanne continued: Everything in that house becomes heightened, a look, an action, a comment. All I can say is in the moment, it felt worse than it was.

It was the word deliberately that I regret, massively.

She said: I massively apologise to not only Ryan, but his friends, his family, his fans, every single person who watched that and who justifiably saw an overreaction to what wasnt a malicious act. Because I am sensitive, I mistook what was playful.
