Hollyoaks is lining up a special flashback episode which will explore the tortured teenage years of James Nightingale – and the way in which Mac treated him. Viewers recently discovered that the monstrous dad was so homophobic and abusive that he pressured his son to have sex with a prostitute on his 16th birthday.

With James having hit rock bottom after being framed for the murder of Kyle Kelly – who is actually still alive – he desperately peruses a noticeboard he has created which lists all of the people out there he thinks might want revenge on him.

As a resulting turn of events leads to Sami packing his bags after discovering that Ellie is pregnant, will James crack the case and expose the truth about what he has been put through?

And will he ever forgive Kyle for his role in it?
