JEDDAH: Saudi authorities are making all-out efforts to facilitate productive families by introducing different programs and offering them various incentives.

Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal and Deputy Gov. Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz on Monday patronized the signing of agreements between the Education Ministry and the Ministry of Labor and Social Development within an initiative led by the Integration Development Center that helps enable Saudi productive families to benefit from school canteens.

The initiative targets more than 480 families from different governorates in the region to work in the “families” initiative, following the success of the first and second phases in Jeddah, Rabigh, Al-Lith and Adham.

The agreements provide for the preparation and training of families through intensive training courses in marketing programs and business administration, and creating a productive and healthy working environment for the education sector in Makkah.

The initiative serves productive families in all parts of the Makkah region, enabling the most needy groups to participate effectively and fully integrate into society. In addition to creating job opportunities for citizens by enabling them to invest in the field of school canteens through operating them or by marketing their products to become permanent food outlets.
