If like us youve been calling and Whatsapping Kanye West for the last fortnight but getting no response, this is most probably the reason why.
After Kanyes epic Twitter rants of late, he decided to lose the mobile so that he had no more distractions from his music, given that he is supposed to be churning out songs for his new album.
Apparently hes been MIA for the last two weeks in terms of phone contact, and needed to explain.
Must be using his desk top Twitter then because he tweeted the reason.
He wrote: For anyone whose tried to text or call me in the past 2 weeks I got rid of that phone so I could focus on these albums.

And just to prove his point, he uploaded a clip of himself making his music, just in case we didnt believe. In the process he gave a little sneak peek at whats on the album.
Songs two and three seem to be called Extacy and Wouldnt Leave judging by the wipe board behind his head.
The other five songs appear to be blank, so he better get a move on if hes to hit is 1 June deadline.
But if Ye really has ditched his phone, it wouldnt be a bad thing for him to keep his head down, given his rants of late, both on Twitter and in person.
Particularly where he tried to say 400 years of slavery was a choice and that people only remained in chains because they didnt about leaving.
During a Live chat with TMZ, Ye voiced a bizarre opinion to hosts: You hear about slavery for 400 years. 400 years? That sounds like a choice. 400 years and its all of yall?
Realising his comment was probably just a tad triggering, he tried to explain: Its like were mentally in prison. I like the word prison because slavery goes too direct to the idea of blacks. Like holocaust – Jews. Slavery is blacks.
Prison is something that unites us as one race, blacks and whites.
The then went on an epic Twitter rant that saw Kim Kardashian come forward and defend her man.
Perhaps shes the one who took his phone of him.
