Just admit it – we all loved a good velour tracksuit back in the day.

If you didn’t own a pink Pineapple set with a top that finished about your navel and pants that started where your bikini line began, then who were you in school?

Well, get ready to relive your best teenage life because the velour tracksuit kings, Juicy Couture, are bringing them back.

And this time, we have more cash to splash on the real deal.

Juicy Couture has announced that it’s making its catwalk debut at New York Fashion Week next month.

Once loved by Paris Hilton et al, these days, the brand seems to have freshened up – with the likes of Rihanna, Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner sporting their wears.

Teenage model Thylane Blondeau is Juicy’s new face, suggesting that the label is trying to rebrand to focus on a younger demographic – compounded by the fact that it’s recruited an army of online influencers to promote their new wears.

‘We have enlisted literally hundreds of influencers from around the world to tell the new story of Juicy through their personal experiences- how they wear it, how they style it, how they make Juicy their own,’ executive vice president of marketing at ABG, Natasha Fishman, tells Business of Fashion.

So yes, still as basic as ever but just more modern.

And we, for one, cannot wait to see a load of frighteningly low-slung jogging bottoms on the catwalk next week, and on the high street once more.
