Lady Gaga shouted out the Time’s Up movement during one of the Grammys’ opening performances.

Following Kendrick Lamar’s jaw-dropping performance, Gaga swiftly took to the stage to perform a piano-led medley of Joanne and A Million Reasons.

Wearing an ethereal frilled blush gown, the 31-year-old’s piano was adorned with feathers, which looked like an angel wing.

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta dedicated the number to her aunt, saying: ‘This is for my father’s late sister Joanne. This is for love and compassion even when you can’t understand.’

However, in the middle of the performance, before Gaga segued into A Million Reasons, she leaned into the microphone and said: ‘Time’s up.’

Earlier in the night, Gaga had worn a simple white rose on the shoulder of her extravagant gothic gown on the red carpet, standing alongside stars including Rita Ora and James Corden who showed their support for the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements.

Gaga is known for making political and societal statements with her live performances.
