Dania Gurira and Lupita Nyong’o take centre stage in this brand new still for Black Panther – one of the most anticipated films for 2018.

Hot on the heels of DC’s Wonder Woman, the first female superhero film of the current crop of superhero films, Black Panther will finally give movie fans their first black superhero, and this image showcases the power of Okoye (Gurira) and Nakia (Nyong’o), warriors of the Dora Milaje, T’Challa’s personal security force.

Following the events of Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther – also known as King T’challa – has returned to his technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader, but trouble ensues when two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda.

‘She’s very passionate about her work,’ Nyong’o recently admitted of Nakia, who is known as a ‘war dog’.

‘She has to decide where her allegiance lies and what comes first,’ she added when discussing the forces which will oppose T’Challa’s reign of Wakanda, the basis of the film.

‘It’s her job to take care of it, and she takes that job seriously,’ said Gurira.
